Dutch Philharmonic Orchestra | Dutch Chamber Orchestra
The Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra are two orchestras within a single organization. They are the most versatile orchestras in the Netherlands and present opera and concert productions of the highest artistic quality. For over 30 years, both orchestras have served as the primary orchestral partners of Dutch National Opera and are internationally regarded as among the finest opera orchestras. In September 2021, Lorenzo Viotti began his tenure as the new chief conductor of the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra. The unique Netherlands Chamber Orchestra usually performs without a conductor and is led by music director Gordan Nikolić. The Royal Concertgebouw is the home venue for a varied concert program. The NedPhO|NKO combines artistic excellence with hospitality and a program designed for a broad audience. Through educational and talent development programs, the orchestra is committed to engaging younger generations.
