Changes to Cordaan's Capacity Management

Cordaan is transforming its capacity management with centrally organized departments for both elderly care and mental health care. This initiative promotes consistency and strengthens strategic planning and evaluation. As an operational planner, you’ll have the unique opportunity to make a direct impact by thinking ahead and implementing solutions.

What do we offer? 

We are offering you a challenging position within an organization that aims to be the best healthcare provider and employer in Amsterdam and the surrounding area. The terms of employment for this position are in accordance with the VVT collective bargaining agreement.

• A one-year contract for32 to36 hoursper week, with the potential for a permanent position
• A salary ranging from a minimum of€2,770.33to a maximum of€3,944.48gross,based on a 36-hour workweek (full-time)
• An end-of-year bonus equal to8.33%of gross annual income and an annual vacation allowance of 8%;
• Pension accrual through the Pensioenfonds Zorg & Welzijn pension fund, a group discount on your health insurance, and travel expense reimbursement in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement
• A bicycle plan and bicycle repair reimbursement

What will you be doing?

As an operational planner, you are responsible for creating and updating the short- and medium-term staffing schedule. You are a driving force behind identifying bottlenecks and proactively devising solutions, focusing less on ad-hoc problems and more on forward thinking. You ensure that the schedule complies with collective bargaining agreements and laws and regulations, and contribute to the sustainable employability of employees. You are on-site and work closely with care teams and the flex pool.

You see challenges as opportunities. For one community care worker, the job is becoming too physically demanding. At the same time, another worker has indicated that she has been working on the third floor of a nursing home for 20 years and absolutely does not want to work on the second floor. Our healthcare team managers deal with these kinds of issues every day. As an operational planner, you enjoy working with them to find possible solutions.

Where will you be working?

You will work within Cordaan’s Integrated Capacity Office (ICB) at locations providing elderly care or mental health care. You will be deeply involved in the care setting and will be a visible presence to the care teams you support.

Who are you?

• You havecompletedat least aLevel 4 vocational programand possess a college-level work and thinking ability
• You have experience with planning, preferably in complex environments such as aviation or rail transport
• You have a strategic perspective and tactical insight
• Empathy and nuance come naturally to you
• Perseverance and a systematic approach are essential when resolving schedule disruptions and developing capacity plans
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
