Community Organizer, Neighborhood Team

What are you going to do?

As a member of the neighborhood team, you identify and connect the needs and interests of residents, community organizations, and the municipality. Together with your neighborhood team colleagues, you address individual requests for assistance and seek collective solutions. You will expand opportunities for individuals and groups of residents, promote quality of life and cohesion in the neighborhood, and support residents in finding their own resilience and taking control of their lives. And furthermore:

• you expand the network of volunteers and network partners, among others
• You motivate residents and help them become more self-reliant
• you work according to the ABCD method

• Do you have a bachelor's degree?
• Do you have several years of work experience as a community organizer or social worker?
• Are you familiar with the ABCD method and do you follow it?
• Are you willing to fill in at another location if necessary?

What can you expect?

• Salary and employment conditions in accordance with the Social Work Collective Bargaining Agreement, at pay grade 8, with a gross monthly salary ranging from €3,191 to €4,547 for a 36-hour workweek
• A one-year contract with the intention of renewing it
• A discretionary Individual Choice Budget equal to 18% of the gross annual salary.
• You’ll have the freedom to organize your work in your own way within the scope of your role, so that you can make the greatest possible contribution to the well-being of many residents of Almere
• With a career budget of 1.5% of your monthly salary, you’ll have the opportunity to develop yourself

The neighborhood teams

The goal of the neighborhood teams is to enable Almere residents to participate in society to the best of their ability. We work to strengthen individual and collective self-reliance and to build strong neighborhoods. We focus on informal and collective support wherever possible. Where necessary, we offer short-term guidance and support, as well as access to customized services. In this way, the neighborhood teams play an important role in the social sector in Almere.
