Are you a passionate online marketer looking to work for the most influential climate organization in the Netherlands? And do you have extensive experience with email marketing? Then we’re looking for you!
We are looking for an online marketer (0.8 FTE/30 hours) to start in December 2024
What will you be doing?
- You will be responsible for email marketing: writing newsletters, promotional emails, donation requests, and invitations, and optimizing email communications, in collaboration with the senior online marketer.
- You’ll use your email marketing expertise to edit the provided text and work together to create a compelling email message.
- If necessary, you will write your own copy for articles or landing pages needed for newsletters or automated campaigns.
- You will actively contribute ideas regarding new and existing aspects of the customer journey for various target groups, including members of Milieudefensie.
- You will set up targeted email campaigns and analyze the results to provide data-driven recommendations for improvements.
- You will support our campaign teams and fundraisers with engaging online initiatives to help us achieve our goals.
- You’ll help members, donors, and supporters feel even more connected to our organization. You’ll do this by contributing strategic insights on how to use online channels for our campaigns and activities.
What are you bringing?
- You have at least 2 years of verifiable work experience as an online marketer and extensive experience with and knowledge of email marketing. Knowledge of ActOn or HubSpot is a plus.
- You know how to work with conditional content and segmentation, and why they're important.
- You write with a focus on conversion, but you also keep the recipient’s interests and needs in mind.
- You are detail-oriented, results-driven, analytically strong, and creative.
- You take a data-driven approach; you develop plans based on test results.
- You have a good command of the Dutch language.
- You share Milieudefensie’s mission.
Who do you work with?
You will be part of the online team, which consists of 5 online marketers and 2 webmasters. You will also collaborate with the data team, communications specialists, fundraisers, and colleagues from the Movement Building department. You will report to the communications coordinator.
What do we offer?
- A 6-month contract. This position can be filled either as a temporary employee or on a self-employed basis, depending on your preference and availability.
- A salary ranging from €3,065 to €5,338 for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience. At Milieudefensie, this is a 37.5-hour workweek.
- Your own laptop that you take home with you every day, so you can work from home as well.
- The option to arrange your work hours flexibly and to swap (Christian) holidays for other holidays.
- A casual and open work environment with enthusiastic colleagues.
- A sufficient travel allowance, work-from-home allowance, and leave policy.
- An excellent pension plan at a.s.r.
- An office in the heart of Amsterdam, accessible by bike and public transportation.
- Fresh fruit every day and a vegan lunch three days a week for a small fee.
- Free access to the OpenUp interactive platform for mental well-being.
