An impressive volume of data makes it possible to conduct analyses that help schools and school boards individually, as well as the education sector as a whole. As a researcher, you will work on behalf of the PO-Raad and the VO-Raad to ensure that we transform our data into information that can be used by colleagues and that provides a solid foundation for policies and positions.
As a researcher, you translate data and analyses into actionable insights for policy and decision-making. Together with three colleagues from the Data & Analysis team, you transform complex data into clear narratives focused on key issues such as educational quality, teacher shortages, and personalized learning for students.
Your responsibilities include:
We are looking for a proactive and analytical junior or mid-level researcher with a strong interest in education and social issues. You have experience with data analysis and know how to place it within a broader social context. In addition, you bring the following to the table:
You are curious, enjoy working with others, and can adapt quickly. You are open to others’ ideas, but you never lose sight of the intended outcome of your research. You work transparently and ensure that your work is thoroughly documented.
The PO Council and the VO Council are the associations representing schools in primary and secondary education. The Councils advocate for the interests of primary and secondary education with the government, politicians, the business community, and civil society organizations. In addition, the Councils promote the quality of education by supporting school boards and school leaders in fulfilling their duties. The Councils represent school boards in the Netherlands and consult with employee organizations regarding the terms of employment for staff members.
