What will you be doing?
Your role consists of two components: first, coaching and supporting the client council members of the two specialties you assist. The other task involves conducting advisory processes in accordance with the relevant legislation (Wmcz 2018 and Wvggz) to advocate for the interests of Arkin’s clients. This includes drafting (Arkin-wide) recommendations from the client’s perspective for the Board of Directors. This is done in close coordination with the supervisor, the chairperson, fellow support staff, and the relevant members (working group).
In practical terms, this means:
- You work collaboratively and innovatively with the members of the support team to develop treatment policies and to define the role and functioning of the council. Specifically, your focus will be on the broad field of health law; Under the guidance of the employee participation manager, you will work with the council members and chair to draft Arkin-wide recommendations and recommendations for the two management teams you will be supporting, all from the client’s perspective;
- You are capable of effectively carrying out the process of an Arkin-wide advisory process for the Arkin Client Council from the clients’ perspective. This involves gathering experiences and opinions within a diverse working group and, within the agreed timeframe, producing legally sound advice that takes into account the next steps.
- You will work with the chairperson to prepare the regular management meetings for the departments you support and will be responsible for the agenda and minutes;
- You will (in consultation with your colleagues) provide the Wmcz 2018 training to client council members and offer support in areas such as the Wvggz;
- You will coach individual council members as they develop in their roles as council members;
- You will help organize client panels (online or in person).

What do you bring to the table?
You have a good understanding of organizational dynamics and communicate effectively with the various levels you interact with in your role. You are also a good listener, can summarize information clearly, and are skilled at coaching team members.

- You have a college or university-level education with a specialization in health law and are familiar with the healthcare sector;
- You think from the client’s perspective and know how to translate this into policy. You can draft policy documents and apply them to real-world situations and straightforward issues. You can explain complex issues in plain language;
- Have demonstrable experience in drafting legally sound documents on (employee participation) issues and can translate these into or from the client’s perspective;
- You are familiar with the latest developments in health law, specifically the Wmcz 2018 and Wvggz. You are curious about developments in this area;
- You are a team player who, while valuing collaboration, is also capable of independently setting and shaping the chosen course in consultation with your manager.
