De Fundering is a co-founder and co-initiator of venues such as the Volkshotel, LAB111 in Amsterdam, KINO in Rotterdam, and The Anthony in Utrecht. KINO and LAB111 primarily generate revenue by screening high-quality films, while the Volkshotel and The Anthony do so through their hotel accommodations. They are also all cultural and creative spaces where commerce is combined with creative hubs offering workspaces for artists, filmmakers, photographers, and other creative entrepreneurs. We operate without subsidies. The profitable part of our ventures ensures that we can support the non-commercial aspects of our projects.
De Fundering partners with entrepreneurs who own the projects themselves. As a result, these are spaces with a strong identity, each one unique. We are usually (co-)owners of the buildings. This allows us to ensure that the interiors and the buildings blend together seamlessly. We create strong concepts and close-knit communities.
New spaces are on the way! De Fundering supports entrepreneurs from concept to design, and from remodeling to renovation. In addition, De Fundering provides financing, financial support, and guidance in entrepreneurship.
We operate out of our office in downtown Amsterdam. We also open our office as a coworking space for creatives and cultural entrepreneurs.
As Office Manager, you are the linchpin of our relatively small office. Your responsibilities will include:
• managing day-to-day office operations, including facility services, mail handling, and inventory management;
• maintaining contact with our firm’s suppliers and service providers, as well as those at the (new) locations;
• assisting the Project Managers with various tasks related to new projects;
• Assisting with interior design and styling projects (if this interests you); sourcing vintage furniture may be an important part of this;
• Assisting the finance department with simple administrative tasks;
• Coordinate appointments and meetings and welcome visitors to those meetings;
• organizing office get-togethers, lunches, and other activities and events;
• Keep the office tidy and organized, and inspire your colleagues to do the same. You’ll be the first point of contact for your colleagues and our coworking space members.
We strongly prefer someone who speaks and writes both Dutch and English well and holds a driver’s license.
We are looking for someone with a college-level education and mindset. However, a degree is not required. If you bring experience, the right ambition, and enthusiasm to the table, our doors and job openings are wide open to everyone. When candidates are equally qualified, we give preference to those who enhance the diversity of our team.
We believe it is important for our team to be as diverse as the Netherlands itself, which is why we are building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We therefore encourage anyone who fits the profile described to apply.
We’d love to talk to you if you’re a strong planner and organizer with a passion for culture and creativity. We offer a challenging and varied range of responsibilities, where you’ll have plenty of opportunity to take the initiative and be given responsibility. You’ll have a lot of freedom to carry out your work as you see fit.
Our office is located a 5-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. We combine a pleasant, informal work environment with a healthy dose of challenge thanks to the variety of projects we handle. We are a dynamic, no-nonsense organization without hierarchical barriers, where you can fully develop your potential. Our team is professional, friendly, and driven! We value a cheerful, friendly, and down-to-earth atmosphere where your contributions are truly appreciated.
We are offering a full-time position (40 hours per week) with a salary commensurate with your experience and responsibilities. De Fundering offers excellent benefits, including 26 days of paid leave per calendar year and a pension contribution. You will receive a phone and travel allowance. Employees can also use our electric bicycles.
