Who are we?
Friendly Fire is an ambitious and dynamic company with a casual yet professional work environment.
We are based in Amsterdam and are actively involved in organizing concerts and events, as well as booking and managing domestic and international artists. For these artists, we arrange performances at clubs and festivals, plan careers, and maintain contact with other stakeholders such as agents, record labels, (tour) managers, etc. We work with and for artists including Merol, Sophie Straat, Krezip, Personal Trainer, Zoë Tauran, Sven Hammond, Danny Vera, Sef, Yung Dada, Roxy Dekker, and many more. We also produce and program events such as Best Kept Secret and Indian Summer Festival, and we are involved in an annual series of open-air theater concerts called “Live At Amsterdamse Bos.” We handle hundreds of bookings for Dutch and international artists in the club and festival circuit and operate our own theater company. Friendly Fire is part of FKP Scorpio, a European group of concert and festival organizers with offices in various European countries.
Who are we looking for?
We are currently looking for a Dutch booking agent (m/f/x) for our organization—someone with a passion for pop music and, specifically, Dutch artists. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about working with artists from the Netherlands and is driven to take their careers to the next level.
The work includes the following tasks, among others:
- Together with the artist and their management team, you’ll work on plans that you develop together;
- You book tours and performances (including club shows, private performances, and festival shows);
- You notice new talent and enjoy discovering new music;
- Maintain contact with programmers and other contacts (labels, publishers, etc.);
- Handle the preparation and processing of a booking;
- You keep an eye on the schedule and make sure everything is in order for the show date, in consultation with tour managers and venues & festivals;
- You attend shows by the artists represented by Friendly Fire, which often take place in the evenings and/or on weekends;
Who are you?
- You have previously worked as a booker or programmer and have experience in booking and/or programming;
- You are enterprising and ambitious;
- You have no trouble communicating in both Dutch and English;
- You have an affinity for Dutch artists and up-and-coming pop talents and are up to date on current developments in the industry;
- You can work with precision and maintain your focus, even during busy and chaotic times;
What do we offer you?
- A beautiful office in Amsterdam North, where we work in a hybrid model with plenty of opportunities to work from home.
- Other benefits include the option to work remotely (upon consultation), a training budget for personal development, travel reimbursement, and, of course, access to relevant showcase festivals, concerts, events, and festivals. We actively invest in your development as a booker.
- Be part of a passionate team with diverse perspectives that works with you to check out the latest music.
- A 40-hour workweek.
- Competitive salary
Diversity
- Friendly Fire is a diverse organization; we don’t care where you were born, what you believe in, or who you love. We’re curious about your talents and your ideas.
- We’re also very interested in hearing about other personal qualities and skills you can bring to our team. We encourage everyone to apply, even if you don’t fully meet all the job requirements.
