Do you want to help build an inclusive world and workplace, starting in the Netherlands? Do you believe that harnessing diverse talent makes us all better, and does working for a social enterprise where you can truly make a difference energize you? Then we’re looking for you!
NewBees offers newcomers immediate participation in society and practical guidance toward employment. NewBees is a fast-growing, young organization that prepares newcomers for a job—and a place in society.
NewBees works in more than 50 municipalities across the Netherlands to promote practical participation for people who need to integrate into society. We also match newcomers with traineeships at local businesses and organizations, with a focus on talent and equality. In addition, NewBees INC. offers employers practical guidance on creating a more inclusive workplace.
As an employer, NewBees leads by example: NewBees has a diverse workforce. That’s why we understand better than anyone what it takes to make Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion a success in practice.
NewBees aims to significantly expand its impact in the coming years: by 2027, we want to reach 50,000 newcomers annually, both in the Netherlands and abroad. After all, all newcomers are entitled to quality services that support their social integration. That is why we want to make NewBees’ services available to all municipalities in the Netherlands, and eventually beyond. The New Business Manager is responsible for making this happen.
NewBees aims to provide two services to municipalities, language providers, and other social organizations:
(1) the online platform for tracking hours in the integration program, which was developed in-house and is managed internally; and
(2) a suite of licensed integration modules (building blocks), also developed in-house, with or without seconded trainers;
As a New Business Manager for the online platform (1), you will be responsible for optimizing, implementing, and refining the business plan. You will oversee the ongoing pilot with municipalities and use the lessons learned to build a viable business. You will work closely with the Product Owner to make adjustments to the online platform based on customer needs and the business’s growth potential.
To offer our integration modules under license (2), you will begin by developing and refining a pricing model. You will also facilitate the secondment of trainers.
For both business models, you’ll reach out to municipalities, employment agencies, and language schools to understand their needs and turn these contacts into strong client relationships. You’ll respond to the questions and needs arising in the field. You’ll build the team and tools needed to implement NewBees’ strategies.
In this role, you will report to the CEO and have significant autonomy to help shape the business case and your role. You will work independently to achieve the set targets and will be supported in this by the executive team. You will be part of the headquarters team and work closely with colleagues responsible for NewBees’ operations. In addition, you will collaborate with our partner OpenEmbassy, with whom NewBees is developing a benchmark to measure the impact of integration interventions. The NewBees Online Platform plays a key role in this effort.
You are bold and results-oriented. You can easily switch between strategy and operations and enjoy working at both levels equally. You have experience collaborating with government agencies and/or organizations that implement (civic integration) legislation, and you have an affinity for IT. You work well with a variety of people and build professional client relationships. In addition, you are:
NewBees is looking for true experts in their field. In return, you can expect a lot from us. With us, you’ll have the opportunity to help build a social enterprise and grow personally in the process. At NewBees, you can make a real difference in society. We offer:
