Are you an experienced IT professional with a keen understanding of end-user needs? The Information Technology & Automation Department is looking for a
Mid-level Application Administrator (1.0 FTE)
A passion for and understanding of the practice and teaching of the arts will help you understand our end users. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch are required; due to the international nature of many of our programs, proficiency in English is also preferred. You are able to work independently and in a structured manner; you are results-oriented and pragmatic, and you know how to distinguish between main and secondary issues. You are a true team player; preferably, you have some experience as a coordinator or project manager.
You have attained at least a higher professional education (HBO) level of work and thinking through a relevant IT program or through a combination of work experience and training. In addition, you have at least five years of relevant work experience in IT, during which you dealt with customer-focused processes related to applications in the broadest sense. AHK uses a Microsoft Cloud, and we assume that Office 365, AD, Azure, Windows 10, and Teams hold few secrets for you. We expect at least three years of experience with this platform. Due to the growing importance of cybersecurity, knowledge in this area is also important, as is experience with IDM/IAM/IGA platforms. Since the Apple Mac is also a common sight (Bring Your Own) and part of our infrastructure via Jamf Pro and DEP, knowledge of these is recommended. It would be a huge plus if you also have some hands-on knowledge of, for example, XML, HTML, Java, SOAP, SQL, PHP, Visual, and NetIQ.
You will be joining the IT Operations Team. There, you will work alongside seven colleagues to analyze complex application-related issues. You will either resolve these issues yourself or escalate them to our vendors, taking on a clear leadership role in the process. You will work both independently and collaboratively, dividing your time between multidisciplinary projects and handling your own second-line support tickets. You demonstrate ownership; you don’t give up until it’s clear what the issue is, and when necessary, you seek help to resolve it. You’ll work on a portfolio of application projects involving many stakeholders, both internal and external. You’ll seek collaboration where needed and ensure the satisfaction of end users (support staff, faculty, and students). You maintain an overview of the work and provide plans, reports, and documentation to management.

In addition to IT Operations, I&A includes a Functional Management department and a Helpdesk, among others.
The I&A department is based in a beautiful location right in the heart of downtown. In addition, we naturally spend part of our time working from home, with excellent remote work facilities. The team is characterized by a collegial atmosphere and short lines of communication; you will report to the IT Operations Manager. The entire I&A department consists of approximately thirty permanent employees and is part of the Service Bureau, which provides a diverse range of services to the academies within the AHK. The IT environment at the AHK is characterized by a high degree of dynamism and a wide variety of technologies and applications. The Service Bureau places great importance on core values such as Co-creation, Service Orientation, Professionalism, Drive, and Inclusivity.
