WWF-NL consists of the following departments: Conservation, Engagement, Organization & Talent Development, and Finance & Operations. WWF-NL works to restore biodiversity in 14 different landscapes, one of which is the Dutch landscape. The work on the Dutch landscape falls under Public Affairs. This team does not belong to a specific department but reports directly to the CEO. The Public Affairs team plays a central role within WWF-NL because, as an international organization, we play an influential role in increasing social and political support for nature conservation. Public Affairs’ strategies make a significant contribution to achieving nature conservation results. Furthermore, the strategy in the Dutch landscape serves as an important bridge to our international work.
To support the implementation of the strategy in the Dutch landscape, the Public Affairs team is looking for a
(40 hours per week)
Will you help us harness nature as an ally in addressing the spatial challenges we face in the Netherlands? So that we can demonstrate how natural solutions can contribute to climate adaptation, rising sea levels, flood protection, a sustainable food system, and an attractive landscape in which to live and work. Think of creating more space for living rivers and natural climate buffers to mitigate weather extremes, promoting natural processes in coastal protection, restoring tidal flows in the delta, and accelerating the transition to nature-friendly agriculture.
