About Us
EMMA is a research, consulting, and engagement firm located in the heart of The Hague’s political district. We identify, develop, and articulate solutions to the social challenges of today and tomorrow. We are convinced that solutions to social challenges can only be achieved in collaboration with residents, government, the private sector, and academic institutions. We conduct research, develop strategies, and implement them.
Your role
- As a project manager, you will lead small and medium-sized projects and contribute to larger ones.
- In particular, you will lead public engagement initiatives related to major societal developments such as the energy transition, the future of healthcare, or urban planning.
- You are a sharp facilitator during strategic sessions or community meetings.
- You’re more than happy to pitch in on other types of projects, such as research initiatives or content creation projects.
- You will help carry out projects, from organizing meetings to writing short texts.
- You will play an active role in the development of EMMA, help draft proposals, and contribute ideas for the development of new products and services.
What we are asking for
- You are passionate about addressing social issues and have an affinity for working in the public sector.
- You’re used to quickly getting the hang of a subject and having a good grasp of the material.
- You have no trouble juggling multiple tasks at once.
Your profile
- You have at least three years of relevant work experience
- You’re a team player and understand what it means to be both an independent expert and a service provider.
- You can quickly distinguish between the main issues and the side issues, and you enjoy bringing different perspectives together.
- Your curiosity drives you to ask insightful questions and discover innovative solutions.
- You have strong interpersonal skills, are a skilled writer, and have a keen understanding of social issues.
What we offer
- Depending on work experience, a salary ranging from €3,000 to €4,200 based on a 36-hour workweek.

- You will work alternately at our office in The Hague, at client sites, and from home.
