As a Theater Technician at the Concertgebouw, you’ll be working at one of the most beautiful concert halls in the world, in a place where there’s always something new happening every day.
Together with your colleagues, you are part of the Operations Team. You play a key role in ensuring that events run smoothly, thanks to your knowledge and experience and with the help of theater technical equipment. No two people are alike. The Concertgebouw strives to be an organization where everyone feels welcome and safe—a place where employees can be themselves and are given the freedom and recognition they need to contribute to our mission in their own way:
The Concertgebouw brings together a diverse audience and enriches their lives with a sublime musical experience
That’s why we’re curious to find out who you are!
As a Theater Technical Services employee, you’ll work as part of the team and be responsible, among other things, for providing technical support for events held in the building. This support is often provided from the control room, but sometimes also from one of our auditoriums:
Working hours vary and will be determined in consultation with you. You are comfortable working evenings, nights, and weekends.
You have sufficient technical expertise to work independently on lighting, sound, hoisting/rigging, and AV technology. Digital mixing consoles and Dante networks are no problem for you. Knowledge of lighting systems using sACN is a plus. And you have the necessary knowledge and experience to troubleshoot minor issues and/or perform repairs on the technical systems in our building.
