Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Specialist, Workshop

What will you be doing? 

As a member of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of personal protective equipment such as respiratory protection equipment, diving equipment, helmets, gloves, water-supply systems, and jump rescue equipment. You may also be assigned to other tasks within the PPE team. In addition, you will serve as the crew for the respiratory protection vehicle during incidents.

Who are you?  

With your experience as a PBW employee, you have strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused attitude. You are detail-oriented and possess the necessary technical expertise. You are flexible and willing to work outside of regular office hours in emergencies.

You'll recognize yourself in this  

• MBO Level 3 work and thinking level;
• Hold certifications from companies such as Dräger, Interspiro, and MSA, or be willing to obtain them;
• Must have a Class B and Class C driver's license;
• A heavy-duty fire truck driver's license is preferred;
• A Firefighter Class A certification (or higher) is preferred.

• Salary in pay grade 6 ranging from €2,368 to €3,500 per month based on a 36-hour workweek.
• A 36-hour-a-week job
• A flexible spending allowance equal to 18.63% of your gross annual salary. This includes your year-end bonus and vacation pay.
• 187.2 hours of leave based on a 36-hour workweek, including 43.2 hours of overtime. May 1 and 5 are fixed days off (10.3 hours); these are included in this total.

The Team 

The PPE Team consists of a total of nine employees and is responsible for maintaining the various items of personal protective equipment. The PPE Team is part of the Facilities Management Department and is located at the Amstelveen Barracks (Oranjebaan 1 in Amstelveen).
