The Concertgebouw is one of the most-visited concert halls in the world, with more than 900 events and over 730,000 visitors each year. The acoustics of our halls are world-renowned; nowhere else does classical music sound more beautiful. As a Customer Service & Sales Representative at the Concertgebouw, you’ll work at one of the most beautiful concert halls in the world, in a place where there’s something different to experience every day. You’ll play a key role in the connection between the Concertgebouw and its visitors. The Concertgebouw’s visitors are very diverse: there are many regulars, but you’ll also interact with new visitors, including many international guests.
Who are you?
- You are very customer-friendly and service-oriented;
- You are extremely meticulous;
- You’re flexible when it comes to working hours and can step in when needed, because the same applies to the Customer Contact and Sales departments: “the show must go on”;
- You have a degree at least at the MBO level;
- You are able to communicate with customers in English ;
- You live in Amsterdam or the immediate vicinity;
- You enjoy going to a concert yourself every now and then (through the employee benefit program).

What will you be doing?
Your main duties and responsibilities are:
- You assist concertgoers both verbally and in writing by providing advice and selling tickets;
- You will work on a rotating schedule Monday through Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ;
- You enjoy knowing or finding the answer to every question;
- You work with the utmost precision and make sure the books balance.
What does your team look like?
You’ll be part of a diverse cashier team consisting of 17 dedicated colleagues of all ages and backgrounds. The team is led by a coordinator and an assistant coordinator.
What do we offer?
- A salary between €2,171 and €3,258 gross per month based on full-time employment (38 hours per week);
- A bonus for working outside regular office hours (including holidays);
