HR Associate

LantarenVenster is Rotterdam’s premier film theater and music venue, located in the city’s most vibrant neighborhood. More than a hundred concerts are organized here annually, and the film program features the latest arthouse films every week, as well as in-depth specials and festivals. We also have a popular grand café-restaurant where visitors can enjoy a drink or a delicious meal every day. The organization consists of approximately 75 full-time employees, a core group of freelancers, and volunteers.

We are looking for a new HR Associate to work24 hours per week in the HR department.

The HR department and the Financial Administration department form a single team; as a result, your responsibilities will also include some financial and administrative tasks.

Who are you?

• Managing the HR cycle is second nature to you. Whether it’s payroll, contracts, compensation systems, or scheduling annual and performance reviews, you’re an expert in these areas.
• Your behavior demonstrates that you acknowledge and respect the feelings and needs of others. You have strong communication skills, which enable you to help employees move forward. You also understand the impact certain situations can have on others. This makes you open to others’ perspectives, allowing you to win them over with your advice and proposed solutions.
• You will be responsible for implementing the diversity and inclusion action plan. You have knowledge of the subject and know how to facilitate the process.
• You will assist the Controller with administrative tasks (banking, accounts receivable and accounts payable, invoicing, etc.).
• You will help improve administrative processes.
• You can easily adapt when a situation calls for it, and you can switch gears quickly
• You are ambitious and can handle confidential information responsibly
• You have at least 3 years of work experience and an interest in HR
