The National Museum of Antiquities in Leiden is a dynamic museum and the premier venue for
Antiquity and Archaeology in the Netherlands. It employs approximately 90 people who are dedicated to
focus more on developing exhibitions, innovative
research and the management and preservation of more than 200,000 objects in the
National Collection. The work environment is open and informal, and the staff are
deeply involved in the cultural sector in general and the museum in particular
special.

The following position is available in our financial administration department:
(FTE)
Financial administration consists of two
people. A small team where you’ll have a lot of responsibility
will work closely with colleagues at the museum, as well as with customers
and suppliers. The department is well-organized with smooth-running processes
and is supervised by the Head of Finance and Operations.
The current job responsibilities include
accounts payable, bank account management, and assisting the controller
during the audit. Once you start working here, this will be phased in
expanded to include:
including the creation, verification, processing, and coding of outgoing
invoices;
and verification of the correct data (general ledger management);
of the controller in connection with audits and the preparation of financial statements,
calculations, budgets, and reports, including the annual report.
who is meticulous, has strong communication skills, is responsible, and takes on new tasks
quickly picks up new skills. Ideally, you have at least a completed MBO4 degree in
a background in finance and at least two years of work experience in
financial and administrative field.
You have a good command of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) and
Experience with an accounting system (experience with Exact Online is a plus).
It goes without saying that you have a good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written
managed. Some incoming or outgoing invoices are in English.

The
The position is for 32 hours per week. This is a temporary appointment for
a one-year period with the prospect of a permanent position. The compensation is
depending on age and experience, in accordance with the Museum Collective Bargaining Agreement, scale 7, with a minimum of €2,774 and
up to €3,448 gross per month based on a 36-hour workweek,
excluding vacation pay and year-end bonus.
