The Financial Affairs Department is seeking a:
Financial Control Officer (M/F/X)
Amsterdam, 36 hours per week
The Financial Affairs Department is responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of financial reports, such as interim results, annual financial statements, budgets, multi-year forecasts, and similar documents.
The position
In this role, you will share responsibility for the accurate processing of financial accounting data. You will also contribute to the design and organization of administrative processes and the implementation of automated systems. This requires a thorough understanding of accounting, tax, and legal regulations.
What will you be doing?
- Assistance with the tasks required for the period-end closing.
- Help ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of data processing in the accounting system.
- Helping to develop, update, and document administrative procedures, as well as conducting audits of these procedures.
- Preparing reports for budget management purposes.
- Assist in preparing the financial statements and compiling the annual report.
- Manage cash and cash equivalents, prepare liquidity forecasts, and monitor bank balances.
What we are asking for
- At least an SPD/HEAO degree or a demonstrable equivalent level of thinking and working.
- Work experience in the field of financial control.
- Knowledge of tax matters, particularly VAT.
- Knowledge of grant regulations and requirements.
- Experience with D365 is preferred.
- Experience working with automated systems.
- An affinity for the cultural environment.

What we offer
The appointment is for a term of one year, after which the contract may be renewed. Depending on education and experience, the salary ranges from a minimum of €2,940 to a maximum of €3,849 gross per month (scale 9), based on a 36-hour workweek. The Museum Collective Bargaining Agreement applies.
