Each concert season, Amsterdam Sinfonietta organizes several events for donors and partners in connection with concerts, rehearsals, try-outs, and tours. These include pre- and post-concert receptions, the season opening and closing events, the New Year’s reception, Friends’ Rehearsals, fundraising events, and the annual donor trip with the orchestra.
We are looking for a colleague who can contribute ideas on the format and approach of events and gatherings and who will play a key role in the success of Amsterdam Sinfonietta. You will organize receptions from the planning stage through to the actual execution of the event. You will coordinate wishes and details with all (internal and external) stakeholders and manage the event on the day itself, working with your immediate colleagues to welcome donors and guests, make them feel at home with our orchestra, and ideally foster a connection between them and the orchestra.
You will coordinate the Friends and CD desk at our concerts: you will prepare the setup, schedule staff for the desk in consultation with the volunteers, and brief them on their duties and the details of the concert. Finally, you will support your team members with donor administration: you will ensure that all data is entered into the CRM system and assist with the preparation and administrative processing of pledges and donation agreements.
We offer a versatile position in an inspiring and informal work environment where you will collaborate with a small, close-knit, and motivated team. The salary is in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Music Ensembles (scale 5), based on a 38-hour workweek, and depends on age and experience.
