MU Hybrid Art House is looking for a Digital Communications Specialist to work 24 to 32 hours per week.
MU is looking for a digital creative who knows exactly how to reach MU’s (potential) audience online and loves creating creative, engaging content for them.
Your work follows the rhythm of MU’s exhibitions and events. In the run-up to an opening, this mainly requires a hands-on approach and a flexible mindset. Once everything is up and running, there’s more room for developing creative content and strategy, as well as making long-term plans.
In consultation with your immediate colleagues, you will organize events and create engaging animations, text, photos, and video content. You will post and repost on various channels, maintain MU’s online presence, and stay alert to developments that are or may be relevant to MU. You will be involved in designing a new website and help increase MU’s visibility.
And if you can also plan things out efficiently, that’s a real bonus!
· You think and work at the college level.
· You have an affinity for art and (digital) culture, specifically hybrid art forms and design.
· You have extensive experience in social media management and content creation and are well-versed in platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, as well as Vimeo, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Snapchat.
· You’re a digital creative with a keen eye for visuals and all the skills needed to develop creative online content.
· You know how to reach and engage MU’s (potential) audience online.
· You have knowledge of and experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Lightroom).
· You are flexible, creative, and practical.
· You have excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
We offer a diverse and challenging role in a casual and creative organization,
where you’ll work alongside a small, ambitious, and supportive team. MU follows the Job and Pay Structure Guidelines for presentation institutions issued by De Zaak NU, as well as its own Employee Handbook and work regulations. In addition, MU offers employees a solid pension plan and the flexibility to plan their work independently and share their hours in consultation with their immediate colleagues.
MU Hybrid Art House is a hub for creative artists who collaborate with one another—and with an eye toward a broad audience—to explore the possibilities of contemporary art. MU thinks beyond disciplinary boundaries and enjoys playing with limits by questioning and stretching them. This approach translates into thought-provoking exhibitions and supporting programs, unique educational programs for all ages, and opportunities for artists to deepen their skills and develop their talents. In everything it does and with everyone it engages, MU fosters creative dialogues about art, the world, and the issues of today and tomorrow. In doing so, MU collaborates closely with artists and with cultural and social partners in the region, as well as nationally and internationally.
MU Hybrid Art House adheres to the Cultural Diversity & Inclusion Code. MU strives to build an inclusive team where diverse backgrounds, personalities, and areas of expertise reinforce and support one another. We invite anyone who believes they can contribute to this effort to apply.
