
Are you sociable, detail-oriented, and able to communicate clearly and openly? The Executive Board is seeking a Management Assistant to the Executive Board (0.8–1.0 FTE), effective September 1.
You are a stress-resistant organizer who is both assertive and adaptable. You have a good sense of proportion and can handle confidential information with care. You are flexible and service-oriented, and you view the fast pace of the executives as a challenge.
You have a perfect command of Dutch and a good command of English, both spoken and written. You have excellent knowledge of Office 365 and experience working in a digital environment. You enjoy welcoming guests.
Together with your fellow executive assistant, you will assist the two board members so they can perform their duties effectively. You will serve as the primary point of contact for the chairman’s day-to-day affairs. Together with your fellow executive assistant, you will manage the entire workflow (process monitoring, prioritization, and follow-up on commitments) for the members of the executive board. You have a keen sense of the importance of current issues and are therefore able to anticipate the needs of the directors. You assist with the preparation of meetings and appointments by alerting the directors to relevant emails and appointments.
The six academies of the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK) prepare students for careers in the national and international fields of art, culture, and heritage. The AHK is led by the Executive Board (CvB). The Executive Board oversees the management teams of the academies and the service bureau, monitors the quality of education and research, approves the budget, and is responsible for day-to-day operations. It ensures that developments in the fields of education, the professional sector, funding, and legislation and regulations are translated into policies for the organization. The Executive Board consists of two members: the chair and the vice-chair, supported by the Executive Office, of which your position is a part.
The position is classified in pay grade 8 (management support staff – C, up to €4,085.57 gross per month for full-time employment). Employment and compensation are in accordance with the collective labor agreement for higher professional education (CAO-HBO); salary placement depends in part on education and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including 53 vacation days per year. We are initially offering a one-year contract with the possibility of extension.
