We are looking for a: for the Nieuwsuur editorial team, starting January 1, 2025:    

Management Assistant (m/f/x) 

Here's what you'll be doing: 

• As an executive assistant, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the editorial board’s schedules, organizing meetings, and maintaining the action list following editorial board meetings. 
• In addition, you will draft meeting minutes and update them as needed to ensure that agreements and decisions are clearly documented. 
• You ensure that new colleagues get off to a good start by providing them with everything they need in a timely manner, such as accounts and access cards, and you assist managers with the onboarding and offboarding of employees. 
• You will arrange meeting rooms, provide support with practical issues, and bring in outside help when necessary. You will also plan and coordinate (online) editorial meetings, training sessions, and editorial parties. 
• You are the primary point of contact for NOS Building Management, Facility Management, and the NOS Caterer.
• You manage viewer emails. Whenever possible, you respond to them yourself, and you ensure that messages are forwarded and followed up on properly. 
• If necessary, you will assist the production department and provide general support in various areas. 
• Of course, there’s a lot more to it than that, but as an experienced executive assistant, you know all about it.

This is you:

• You are an experienced executive assistant with at least 5 years of experience and enjoy working independently. 
• You’re flexible, curious, and solution-oriented—for you, “can’t” isn’t an option. If you don’t know the answer, you’ll actively search for it until you find it. 
• You find energy in working at the office, where you’re visible and accessible to your colleagues. 
• You have a keen eye for what needs to be done and take action before anyone asks. 
• You understand the dynamics of a newsroom like Nieuwsuur’s and have excellent organizational skills. You also enjoy being the linchpin of the operation and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. 

Here's what we offer:

A contract through December 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension. Depending on knowledge and experience, this position is compensated within salary grade F of the broadcasting collective bargaining agreement. The other terms and conditions of employment also comply with the collective bargaining agreement for broadcasting personnel.
