Are you the organized, versatile jack-of-all-trades and team player we’re looking for? Do you have a hands-on approach and enjoy tasks such as managing complex schedules, supporting executive management, organizing events, and taking minutes—and would you like to be the hub of the organization? Then this position is perfect for you!
The Louis Bolk Institute is a non-profit, independent research institute. We have been in existence for over 45 years, and together with our 58 colleagues, we develop knowledge using an integrated approach and a systems perspective. We work to strengthen natural systems and processes, whether in an agricultural area, a business, an urban neighborhood, or with a patient. We do this in collaboration with stakeholders using participatory methods. In this way, we make a concrete contribution to health and vitality, a resilient natural environment—including the food system—and a sustainable living environment.
The organizational environment in which you will be working consists of two members of the executive board, one of whom is the CEO. This organization has a Supervisory Board and a Works Council. The secretariat consists of two colleagues.
Your primary responsibility is to support the two members of the executive board and ensure they can perform their roles to the best of their ability. You will have a wide range of responsibilities, with opportunities to take on additional tasks that align with your interests. You will schedule and organize appointments (internal and external) for the executive team, manage their calendars, take meeting minutes, and organize internal and external events for the organization. As a team player, you will tackle these tasks together with your colleagues in the secretariat.
We are looking for someone who is professional (a good fit for the foundation), available during regular office hours, takes initiative, and is a good team player. With an eye for detail, you are confident in taking on tasks, organizing them, and making decisions. You are skilled at managing calendars and email, organizing meetings and larger gatherings, and taking minutes. You work independently but regularly seek feedback. You frequently consult with colleagues in the secretariat and researchers to ensure the approach is appropriate. You are able to serve as an extension of the executive board when it comes to internal accountability and the board’s accessibility.
You can expect a lot from us. You’ll be joining an ambitious company where the workplace isn’t dominated by hierarchy, but by an informal atmosphere.
Please send your application to solliciteren@louisbolk.nl. For more information about this position, feel free to contact Klaas Berkhof (HR Manager). You can call the administrative office at 0343 523 860.
