Do you want to contribute to the energy transition of today and tomorrow? At ENGIE, you can support our power plants and other (new) energy projects as a Legal Counsel. You’ll do this by providing advice on procurement, contracts, insurance, and other legal matters. Are you analytical, good at setting priorities, and a team player? Then read on.
As a Legal Counsel at ENGIE, you will use your legal expertise to support challenging projects and day-to-day operations in the field of energy production and storage. This includes, among other things, sustainable electricity generation, hydrogen projects, batteries, and all related legal aspects. This involves procurement contracts, energy-specific contracts, property rights, and collaboration with external parties such as attorneys and notaries.
ENGIE is working hard to transition to a carbon-free economy. We are making our customer portfolios and flexible power plants more sustainable, and are developing large-scale green hydrogen, solar and wind energy, biogas, and energy storage. We help our business and residential customers find the best-suited energy contract and manage their energy costs through energy and sustainability solutions.
You’ll be part of a dynamic and friendly team that offers a great deal of autonomy. Everyone has their own area of responsibility, and everyone is flexible when the work requires it. You will actively contribute to the energy transition, in which ENGIE aims to play a leading role globally, and certainly in the Netherlands as well. The primary focus of the role is on the procurement side of power plants and related projects in the Netherlands.
In this role, you will use your analytical skills as a legal specialist. You excel at analyzing problems and are skilled at asking probing questions. You draw on your natural curiosity to form sound judgments. In addition, you enjoy collaborating with others, utilize your communication skills to do so, are flexible, and know how to set the right priorities. You also have an affinity for energy and technology.

Research shows that men apply for a job when they meet 60% of the prospective employer’s requirements, while women only apply when they feel they are a 100% match. What a shame! If you don’t meet all the requirements but are interested, please let us know. We’d love to hear from you!
