Junior Producer

These two separate segments are produced by distinct teams of editors, directors, producers, and junior producers. We are looking for a Junior Producer to join the Drama Team at Het Klokhuis, starting March 1, 2024.

Here's what you'll be doing: 

• Assist the producer with tasks such as facility planning, creating call sheets, shooting schedules, storyboards, and/or breakdowns, and processing recorded footage using Avid Media Central;
• Organize personnel and equipment for filming and editing; to this end, you will make arrangements, handle the financial and administrative aspects, and resolve any issues that arise within the given guidelines;
• Assist with searching for and requesting archival material and/or photos from sources such as Shutterstock, Beeld & Geluid, broadcasters, producers, and others;
• Be responsible for program administration, including maintaining logbook records, entering metadata, and archiving video footage and rights information;
• Searching for suitable filming locations;
• Contacting actors and booking extras for filming days;
• Serve as the production point of contact on set during shooting days and assist with all on-site arrangements;
• Assist with various events and cross-media projects related to the program.

This is you: 

• An experienced producer with a passion for drama;
• A team player who can also work independently; you take the initiative and are skilled at planning and organizing;
• You’re able to handle stress, you’re meticulous, and you love to dot the i’s and cross the t’s;
• Someone who connects easily with others, communicates clearly, and brings out the best in colleagues through their own enthusiasm and ideas; 
• Familiar with and skilled in digital technologies and work methods;
• Flexible in mindset and able to work flexible hours (shooting days sometimes fall on weekends due to actors’ availability);
• Must have a Class B driver's license (and preferably own a car).

We offer:  

A one-year contract for the period from March 1, 2024, to February 28, 2025, with the possibility of extension. Depending on knowledge and experience, this position is compensated within salary grade F (€2,711.87 – €3,988.60) of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for broadcasting staff.
