Can you help us make our educational content visible, relevant, and distinctive for teachers and students in higher education?

About Boom Higher Education

Boom Higher Education develops and publishes educational materials for students in higher education. Within the Health & Welfare division, we collaborate with a broad network of academic programs, instructors, and students. Boom has established a strong and recognizable market position in this field, offering content that is in-depth and relevant to current social issues.

What will you be doing?

As a junior marketer, you will be part of the marketing team and work closely with the marketer for the Healthcare sector. Together, you will form the marketing team for the Healthcare & Welfare Fund.

The focus of your role is on content creation in the broadest sense of the term: from conceptualizing and producing to publishing and analyzing content that informs, inspires, and engages our target audiences. In addition, you will:

  • Writing, editing, and (co-)designing content for: newsletters, the Boom platform, LinkedIn, and other social media channels;
  • Contribute ideas on content formats and work with the marketer to execute plans for content pieces (such as newsletters, posts, and product campaigns) for the Care & Welfare fund;
  • Provide support for data management and data analysis, for example by monitoring and interpreting results using tools such as Google Analytics and Power BI;
  • Contribute to the further development of the marketing strategy within the team.

Where and with whom will you be working?

You will be working in a team of five marketers and will report to the Higher Education Marketing & Sales Manager. There is plenty of opportunity for collaboration, asking questions, and learning on the job.

The appointment is for 12 months, with the intention of extending it if the employee performs well.

At Boom, we want to provide a work environment where you can reach your full potential and where everyone feels at home. A work environment with diverse people, opinions, and perspectives that allows us to view our work from different angles.

What do we offer?

  • A junior position with substantive responsibilities in a socially relevant field.
  • Collaboration with experienced marketers at Boom Higher Education.
  • Plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and develop professionally.
  • A salary in Scale VI of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Publishing Industry (€2,700–€3,500 based on a 36-hour workweek), depending on your experience.
  • The Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Publishing Industry, supplemented by our own attractive benefits. These include a Flexible Spending Account, which you can use, for example, to take extra time off or to pay for training.
  • Unlimited access to training courses via Skilltown (more than 800 soft skills and subject-specific courses).
  • Access for you and your family to OpenUp (online support for mental health challenges)
  • Your own laptop so you can do your job to the best of your ability.

Who are you?

You’re curious, socially conscious, and enjoy creating content that actually means something. You also identify with the following:

  • You have an interest in social welfare, society, and current events;
  • You have a bachelor's degree, for example:
  • Business Economics (with a focus on marketing or content)
  • International Business Development
  • Multimedia Design
  • Or another relevant associate's degree program with a clear connection to marketing and content.
  • You should ideally have 1–2 years of work experience in a similar field;
  • You have experience writing and editing content and working with (basic) data and insights derived from figures (e.g., CRM, Power BI, Google Analytics);
  • You have strong digital and visual skills and are comfortable working with content and design tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut, Figma, or similar tools;
  • You are interested in education and the role that content plays in it;
  • You’re a good communicator, enjoy working with others, and have an open, curious, and eager-to-learn attitude.

Want to learn more and apply?

For more information about the position, please contact Lilian Vos, Manager of Marketing and Sales for Higher Education. (l.vos@boom.nl)

Interested? Please send your cover letter and resume by February 1 at the latest to Sandy Bokhorst, corporate recruiter, atsollicitatie@boom.nl.

What is the application process like?

The first interviews will take place during the week of February 2, 2026. Depending on how the interviews go, an assessment may be part of the application process. We will, of course, let you know about this in advance. Do you have any questions about the process? Please feel free to contact us.
