As a Junior ICT Chain Expert at the Concertgebouw, you’ll be working at one of the world’s most beautiful concert halls, in a place where every day brings something new. Who are you?
- You have completed a degree in a relevant field and have gained experience in information management or IT;
- You have a technical interest in (cloud) software, automation, security, and IT infrastructure;
- You communicate clearly (in Dutch, both verbally and in writing) and are able to get others on board with changes;
- You are proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented. You keep a cool head and maintain momentum; even when the unexpected happens, you stay on top of things, achieve your goals, and ensure that the right priorities are met;

What will you be doing?
As a Junior ICT Chain Expert, you and your ICT colleagues form the core of our ICT organization. Together with your colleagues, you will manage a variety of software packages, such as our intranet, Office 365, sales system (Tixly), scheduling system (iConcert), hospitality system (MPlus POS), or our invoicing system (Proactis). In addition, you’ll help colleagues with all kinds of questions about using their laptops or phones. You’ll also ensure effective coordination with internal colleagues and external suppliers.
Your main duties and responsibilities are:
- Within the organization, you serve as the primary point of contact for user inquiries, assess them for usefulness, necessity, and compliance with policy, and proactively provide recommendations. You coordinate with vendors, monitor progress, and provide feedback to users regarding what is and isn’t possible, as well as the status of the project.
- You will coordinate, plan, execute, test, and implement new features, bug fixes, and updates in consultation with vendors and the user organization.
- You take the initiative to implement improvements and innovations.
- You will be part of project teams that focus on optimal user-friendliness and technically feasible solutions.
- You will oversee the full implementation within the user organization, supported as needed by written instructions, instruction, or training.
What does your team look like?
You will be part of the IT department, a dedicated and vital team of four permanent staff members and an external partner who supports us with hardware and IT infrastructure. The team is responsible for all software, hardware, and IT infrastructure in our building. The IT department is part of the Concertgebouw’s administrative staff.
What do we offer?
- A salary between €2,860 and €3,750 gross per month based on full-time employment (38 hours per week).
- A 4-day contract (30.4 hours) is preferred, and full-time employment is also a possibility.
- The contract is initially for one year.
