We are looking for a:
Youth Coach (0.8 FTE/30 hours), maternity leave replacement
Location: Amsterdam
What will you be doing?
You’ll be working with the participants of Fair Future Generators (FFG), Milieudefensie’s Community Service Program. You’ll ensure that these young people get involved and stay engaged.
- You will guide and coach the young people throughout their participation in the program.
- You keep them motivated and support them in their development.
- You will contribute strategic insights on how Fair Future Generators can support Milieudefensie’s campaign.
- You’ll ensure that young people who participate in Fair Future Generators want to stay involved in Milieudefensie’s movement for change, for example through Milieudefensie Jong or a local group
- You will support the team in organizing and facilitating inspiring events for and with FFG participants.
What are you bringing?
- You have experience working with young people, preferably in a coaching and supportive role.
- You have experience in organizing and building a movement: engaging and connecting (young) volunteers, working with volunteer groups, and driving change as part of a team.
- You’re a good team player, a good listener, and you know how to inspire others to take action.
- You are good at planning your own work, setting priorities, and keeping track of what’s happening within the team.
- You speak and write Dutch fluently.
- You are flexible, have a hands-on approach, and are willing to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
Who do you work with?
You will work closely with your colleagues in the Sports Development Department. You will be part of the FFG team, which consists of a project manager, two youth coaches, a youth organizer, a training coordinator, and a communications officer.
What do we offer?
- A temporary contract for a period of 7 months to cover a maternity leave.
- A starting salary, depending on your knowledge and experience, ranging from €3,500 to €4,400 for full-time employment. At Milieudefensie, this is a 37.5-hour workweek.
- Your own laptop that you take home with you every day, so you can work from home as well.
