Internal Auditor

As an internal auditor, you and your colleagues contribute to the development of the third line of defense within Arkin. Through investigations, you determine whether the organization is and remains in control. You conduct compliance audits on various legal frameworks, such as the Health Insurance Act, Forensic Care, the Social Support Act (Wmo), the Long-Term Care Act (Wlz), and Acute Care, and also perform audits focused on financial and IT processes. The Internal Control (IC) department is also involved in the implementation and accountability of various initiatives focused on Horizontal Supervision. Scope of the assignment:

The ICU department is looking for a professional to work 3 to 4 days a week (24–36 hours) who will take on or assist with the following cases during the assignment period:

• NEN7510: in accordance with the multi-year plan, follow-up on previous audits, and new audits (to be determined for 2025)
• TaxControlFramework: Work for Q4
• Production accountability: support for preventive inspections (grants) and the AODB

What will you be doing?

As an Internal Auditor, you are responsible for developing audit frameworks, audit objectives, and audit plans. In addition, you advise the executive boards and management of specialized departments and staff functions on improvements resulting from internal audits and evaluations of the design and operation of business processes. And:

• You identify gaps in the administrative organization, provide advice on control measures, and on how those controls are carried out;
• You will perform both process-oriented and data-oriented internal audits in accordance with the established audit plan and audit framework. The results and key findings of these activities will be carefully documented, including an audit trail, and reported to stakeholders;
• In addition, you are responsible for verifying whether the findings are being addressed by the auditee and/or supervisor in question;
• To support the financial reporting process, you will also prepare production reports to assist the external auditor with their audit. In this process, you will work closely with the external auditor. You will provide the audit results and serve as the point of contact should consultation be required;
• In your role as an internal auditor, you will coordinate and participate in projects, with the more complex tasks falling primarily under your responsibility.
