We are looking for a:

Purchaser with an interest in contract management

Amsterdam – 36 hours per week

This is your job:

As a procurement specialist, you are responsible for achieving optimal procurement results through strategic or tactical procurement, establishing rigorous selection processes, and effectively negotiating with suppliers. Experience with contract management is essential, as you will work closely with your internal clients and contract managers.

You are well-versed in negotiating and drafting contracts that support the organization’s objectives. With your experience and skills, you ensure that specifications and procedures align perfectly with expected supplier performance, and you contribute to their continuous improvement.

The Procurement Department is relatively new. We expect you to help put Procurement on the map by taking ownership, keeping your word, delivering high-quality work, and further developing procurement processes. We are constantly evolving and aim to take things to the next level.

We are looking for several buyers with expertise in property management in all its forms, as well as in indirect categories such as HR, Facilities, IT, and Legal.

Your duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement procurement plans in accordance with the wishes of—and in collaboration with—your internal client.
  • Sourcing and selecting suppliers and identifying market opportunities that contribute to the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Organizing and conducting selection processes, from preparation through to the final award and the formalization of contracts.
  • Negotiate contract terms to ensure the best value for money.
  • In collaboration with Contract Management, monitor supplier performance and make adjustments as needed to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.

In addition, you are an excellent negotiator who knows how to achieve the best results for the organization. You have excellent communication skills and are attuned to organizational dynamics, allowing you to navigate smoothly between internal and external stakeholders and effectively balance the various interests at stake.

And also:

  • Do you have a college-level education and way of thinking?
  • Do you have proven experience in procurement, with a focus on sourcing, conducting selection processes, and contract management?
  • Do you have experience drafting contracts and managing the entire contract lifecycle?
  • You have a broad perspective and are skilled at handling complex issues.
  • Do you have advanced Excel skills (knowledge of procurement and supplier management applications such as Mercell, Empire, or Salesforce is a plus)?

  • In addition to a salary ranging from a minimum of €4,535 to a maximum of €6,745 gross per month, based on a 36-hour workweek and depending on knowledge and experience (scale J/K of the Housing Services Collective Agreement), you will also receive a fixed year-end bonus of 6% 
  • In addition to a wide range of training and development opportunities, we also provide you with a personal training budget of €900 per year.
  • You’ll be provided with a company phone and laptop. We’ll also provide you with everything you need to work from home.
  • A 32-hour workweek is negotiable.
  • With us, you have the option to swap public holidays: swap your time off on Ascension Day and Whit Monday for days that are special to you
