Do you want to turn our vision into tangible results? As a Content Contract Manager at Roads, you’ll play a key role in translating strategic goals into meaningful partnerships. Do you have a keen eye for opportunities, a way with words, and feel at home in a dynamic environment? Then we’re looking for you!
We are looking to hire a contract manager with strong subject matter expertise as soon as possible. As a contract manager, your goal will be to translate our vision and approach into contracts with (new) clients. The focus of this role is on the substantive aspects of contract management: are we doing the right things, and how do we demonstrate that? But also: what opportunities exist for us to further develop as an organization and increase our added value? In this role, you will work closely with the subject matter managers at Roads and the staff of Arkin’s central healthcare sales department.
Your responsibilities:
In this role, you will work 32–36 hours per week. As a Contract Manager, you will be part of the Roads management team and report directly to the Business Administration Manager. You will also work closely with the Roads managers, the Director, and Arkin’s Healthcare Sales department.
What does your typical workweek look like?
No two days are the same! To give you an idea, here’s what a typical week might look like:
On Mondays, you’ll spend the day at one of Roads’ locations—such as the social enterprise Recycle in Amsterdam or Print en Pixels in Haarlem—so you can have lunch with the teams and chat with the participants during breaks. In the morning, you’ll have a contract management meeting with a municipality, after which you’ll immediately set some tasks in motion and get them done. In the afternoon, you’ll have a meeting with your colleagues at Arkin, who will help you improve the management reports so you can access the right information more quickly.
Tuesdays are packed with meetings. You go over the status of each contract with your colleagues in healthcare sales. That takes a while, because there are so many of them. You have a one-on-one with your manager to discuss how your first few months have gone, what your learning and development goals are, and what arrangements we can make so you can work toward those goals in practice. In between tasks, you also meet with a few colleagues to prepare for an external account meeting.
On Wednesday, you work from home for the day, and you have time in your schedule to tackle a few upcoming tasks: you dive into the documents for a new tender and start drawing up a plan. You’ve deliberately left the afternoon open. You realize that now is actually a good time to finally dive into the management information in PowerBI, because you’ve noticed that enrollment in Haarlem is lagging behind other regions. What could be causing that?
On Thursdays, you’ll be working at Obiplein in Amsterdam, Roads’ main office. In the morning, you’ll have a management team meeting, and in the afternoon, you’ll have time set aside to review the text submitted for a tender. You’ll craft compelling copy that aligns well with the objectives outlined in the tender.
You’ll spend Friday morning catching up on your pending tasks and returning a few calls to colleagues. You’re free in the afternoon.
You’ll be working in a great team with dedicated colleagues who are committed to supporting participants and clients. The organization has a flat hierarchy, offering plenty of freedom and room for creativity.
Here are a few more highlights of Arkin’s attractive employment benefits:
You have strong analytical skills and a way with words
You quickly get to the heart of (complex) issues and are skilled at putting your thoughts into writing. You find it rewarding to help others with your insight and quick thinking. You can adapt your writing style flexibly depending on the purpose and the audience you’re writing for.
You're a team player
You’ll be working closely with various colleagues and serving as the hub of the team. This means you’ll maintain a clear overview, look ahead, and be proactive and enthusiastic. You’ll also be skilled at bringing others along with you. You naturally connect people, goals, and processes.
You're great at planning and organizing, you're detail-oriented, and you're confident and self-assured
You have a talent for organizing and planning, thanks in part to your foresight. This allows you to set the right goals and priorities and accurately assess the time, actions, resources, and people required to achieve them. You work in a systematic manner and are sharp and critical. You keep an eye on the agreed-upon quality standards and, in collaboration with healthcare administration and the quality department, monitor compliance with contracts.
You have an affinity for data
You have the ability to identify patterns, trends, and underlying factors in data, and you enjoy working with data, analyses, and trends.
You are enterprising
Although you don’t work directly with our participants and clients, your motivation is to use your skills to help provide the best possible care. To do that, you identify and create opportunities both within and outside of Roads.
