How you make a difference

As a Junior Financial Advisor and Contract Manager, you will work within the Control & Business Change department of the Long-Term Care division. This division is jointly responsible for the implementation and accountability of the Long-Term Care Act (Wlz).

As a Junior Financial & Contract Manager, you will serve as a key advisor and point of contact for healthcare procurement. Together with the healthcare procurement team, you will engage in discussions with healthcare providers, focusing primarily on the financial aspects of the contracts. You will contribute ideas regarding rates, agreements, and terms, and ensure that these are properly documented. You draft contracts in collaboration with the Healthcare Procurement department and verify that agreements comply with legislation and our VGZ policies.

Your portfolio focuses primarily on care for people with disabilities (GZ) and mental health care (GGZ) under the Long-Term Care Act (Wlz). You are always looking for ways to improve monitoring. In addition, you accurately document contractual agreements and propose process improvements.

You’ll be joining a close-knit team of 13 dedicated colleagues, ranging from junior to senior staff. We work closely with other departments, such as Healthcare Procurement and Policy. With us, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to grow and help build a more efficient healthcare sector.

• In addition, we offer you:a salary between €3,737 and €5,388 gross per month based on a 38-hour workweek (Pay Scale G of the VGZCollective Bargaining Agreement);
• vacation pay (8%) and a thirteenth month's salary (8.33%);
• the flexibility to work from home. You’ll work in the office at least one day a week, on Thursdays. Working from home is an option, and we’ll provide you with a workplace that meets health and safety standards;
• a monthly net allowance of €40 for home internet;
• If you work 38 hours a week, you receive 208 vacation hours per year. If you want more vacation hours, you can easily purchase them through the Flexible Benefits Plan;
• an employer contribution of €60 gross per month toward your VGZ health insurance;

What you bring to the table 

As our new Junior Financial and Contract Manager, you’ll be working to promote a healthier Netherlands and drive innovation in healthcare. With your strong communication skills, you’ll be able to effectively take on an advisory role during meetings, and your aptitude for numbers will help you ensure the success of projects. You’re also detail-oriented and skilled at risk analysis.

In addition, you have: 

• college-level work and thinking skills;
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar position;
• knowledge of financial figures, budgets, and annual financial statements;
• Knowledge of and insight into healthcare procurement processes, funding streams, and laws and regulations is a plus;
• an affinity for writing, designing, and presenting policy plans and performance accountability reports.
