The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences Library , with twenty information specialists spread across seven faculties, provides support to all students, researchers, and faculty members at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. As of December 1, we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Information Specialist for the Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE).

- You will ensure that the collection—both physical and digital—remains relevant and up-to-date for educational and research purposes;
- You will actively build a network of contacts within the faculty and academic programs, enabling you to stay informed about current developments and understand how the Library can contribute to high-quality education and research;
- You play an active role in developing the information literacy skills of students and staff;
- You will conduct training sessions on information and research skills for your programs and/or assist instructors in this regard;
- You provide information and advice to internal and external users about the library's services;
- You can specialize by participating in working groups within the Library (optional);
- You will contribute to the Library’s continued development in accordance with the guidelines set forth in the strategic plan. You will closely follow new developments in the field and see yourself as a partner in education and research;
- You will participate in local and national networks of information specialists and keep abreast of relevant developments both within and outside the AUAS.

We’re looking for a colleague to join the Information Specialists team at the Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE). You’ll be working for two clusters within FBE: the Amsterdam School of International Business (AMSIB) and Commercial Economics (CE). The focus is on English-language programs.
You will be based at the Corry Tendeloohuis (CTH), where you will work alongside colleagues from Information Services and Campus Services. You will also be part of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences’ (HvA) full team of Information Specialists.
You should also bring:
- College or university level of work and thinking. A degree in IDM or a related field is preferred;
- Strong social, communication, and advisory skills;
- Results-oriented and able to work independently and systematically;
- Networking skills; entrepreneurial, flexible, proactive, and customer-focused;
- Teaching and digital skills;
- Knowledge of search methods and techniques and the use of (economic and financial) databases;
- Experience with library and (digital) information systems;
- Accurate, efficient, analytical, and highly organized;
- Hands-on approach;
- Excellent command of spoken and written Dutch and English.

- A gross monthly salary between €3,091.78 and €4,085.57 (scale 8 of the higher professional education collective bargaining agreement);
- An end-of-year bonus of 8.3% and vacation pay of 8% of your gross annual salary;
- 428 vacation hours per year based on a 40-hour workweek;
