Are you our new proactive and knowledgeable information manager who can effortlessly bridge the gap between policy and implementation? You’re someone who thrives on change, digital transformation, and helping colleagues adopt a more professional way of working.
Innovation, (renewed) automation, AI, and sustainable accessibility are central to our organization. As an Information Management Advisor within the Information Management & Archives (IB&A) team, you play a crucial role in this. You contribute ideas, provide advice, implement solutions, and ensure the quality of our (digital) archive. You collaborate across the organization and use your expertise to make and keep information sustainably accessible, in accordance with the latest laws and regulations and the Archiving by Design methodology.
We are looking for a junior and senior information manager!
In your role, you will work daily to ensure that information is accessible in a sustainable manner throughout the entire organization. You will advise colleagues on digital and case-based working, support departments in correctly applying guidelines, and monitor the quality of our digital archive. You will constantly switch between advising, monitoring, implementing, and collaborating on projects. You will ensure that files are complete, searchable, and accessible in a sustainable manner in accordance with laws and regulations. In addition, you will actively contribute to improvements, digitization, AI applications, and the further professionalization of information management within the Safety Region.
Within the IT sector, there is a desire to deploy employees in more versatile roles. New employees therefore do not focus solely on managing information; they also gain insight into information flows, applications, and processes to understand where information is generated and where it should be stored or made accessible.
Duties & Responsibilities
This role requires more than just technical expertise. You have a keen sense of what’s happening within the organization and take various interests into account. You work in a systematic and structured manner, ensure the quality of information, and set priorities when necessary. You can guide colleagues through new systems and processes and provide clear advice. You make well-considered decisions and handle confidential information with care. In addition, you are curious about new developments, such as AI and digital archiving, and actively apply this knowledge. In this way, you combine analytical skills with the ability to build connections, making you a reliable advisor in information management.
The IB&A Team is one of three teams in the Information Services Department, which has a total of about 17 employees.
At IB&A, you’ll work alongside three direct colleagues, one of whom is highly experienced. You’ll also collaborate with colleagues from the two other teams, which consist of information advisors and data specialists.
Together, we’ll make sure that VrAA can use the information properly.
