About DOEN Participaties
DOEN Participaties B.V. is the investment fund of the DOEN Foundation, funded by the National Postcode Lottery and the Friends Lottery. For nearly 30 years, we have been supporting the transition to a greener and more socially responsible world by financing innovative startups—both in the Netherlands and abroad—that are committed to the regenerative economy and social entrepreneurship. We do this through convertible loans, direct equity investments, and fund investments. Impact is at the heart of everything we do.
Our dedicated team currently consists of three Principals, two Investment Managers, one Investment Associate, and one Team Assistant.
As an Analyst on the DOEN Participaties team, you’ll play an active role in investments that contribute to DOEN’s green, social, and creative vision. Working closely with your colleagues in a self-managing team, you’ll help strengthen the impact of our current portfolio and support the process of evaluating new investments. This includes financial analyses of early-stage startups, market research, and even assisting with contract negotiations. In addition, you’ll help identify innovative and forward-thinking entrepreneurs who may be eligible for funding.
You’ll be working from our sustainable office, just a six-minute walk from Amsterdam Zuid station. In total, there are about 45 passionate, enterprising, and dedicated colleagues at Stichting DOEN and DOEN Participaties—all from diverse backgrounds. We believe that diversity fosters creativity, innovation, and collaboration. We therefore strongly encourage everyone to apply—especially if you have previously felt less welcome in the job market due to your gender or sexual identity, religion, age, background, or physical disability.
The application process consists of three interviews, a case study, and an assessment.
Because integrity and responsible conduct are essential to us, a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is required upon hiring. Unfortunately, candidates without a valid VOG are not eligible for this position.
The DOEN Foundation is a fund for pioneers in innovation, made possible by the participants of the National Postcode Lottery and the Friends Lottery. We support innovators who make the world more sustainable, inclusive, and creative. Thanks to lottery participants, DOEN funds more than 250 innovators annually—we give them a flying start so they can inspire others and show that real change is possible.
