The Woonbond is the voice of renters and those seeking housing in the Netherlands. Through our tenant organizations and 10,000 individual members, we represent over 1.5 million renting households. As an advocate, the Woonbond is committed to ensuring sufficient, quality, and affordable housing, livable neighborhoods, and a strong position for those seeking housing, tenants, and their organizations in both the social and commercial rental sectors.
We are constantly looking for ways to address the housing crisis and improve advocacy for tenants and those seeking housing. There is still much to be gained in this area, and we work hard on it every day. We do this with a team of nearly 60 employees, including consultants and advisors, lawyers, energy specialists, policymakers, and communications staff. As an HR advisor, you ensure that everything runs smoothly in the HR department and that these employees are supported as effectively as possible. In this way, you help amplify the voice of the nation’s renters.
What will you be doing?
As an HR Advisor, you will be the sole person in this role. You will handle all aspects of HR, from the strategic to the operational level. You will advise management on personnel and organizational developments, as well as on individual employee matters. You will translate laws and regulations into practical policies, advise managers, and implement these policies.
Your responsibilities will include recruitment and selection processes, attending and taking minutes during performance reviews, managing occupational health and safety cases, and organizing training sessions. You will also serve as the administrator of the HR and payroll system. Payroll processing is outsourced, but you will be responsible for providing the necessary data. Finally, you will serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR and payroll matters.
