Bird Protection Netherlands advocates for wild birds and their habitats. In the Netherlands and worldwide. Since 1899 (!), we have been contributing in this way to the conservation of nature and to a livable world. Not just for today, but for the future as well! And we are proud of our achievements: the return of the stork and the kingfisher, the ongoing greening of our living environments, and much more. Results we have achieved as an association through the unwavering dedication of some 150,000 members, more than 600 volunteers, and over 110 staff members (88 FTE).
Our funding comes from members, donors, businesses, private organizations, and project grants from foundations and government agencies. We are also part of BirdLife International, an umbrella organization comprising 117 bird and nature conservation organizations, with a combined total of 10 million members and supporters.
With your talent, you could work anywhere. But you’re selective. You’ll only put your skills and well-rounded experience to work for an organization that makes a difference—for birds and nature, bothnationallyand internationally. As an HR advisor, you will serve as the point of contact for our managers and external partners across the full spectrum of HR. Everything is covered: recruitment and selection, employee satisfaction, performance, development, well-being, sustainable employability, absenteeism, turnover, etc. All your work contributes to an organization where employees collaborate so effectively that we make an even greater impact for birds.
You know better than anyone what’s going on within the teams and what it takes to strengthen them. You have a clear vision for recruitment and selection, as well as for developing people and their skills. You’re skilled at organizing these efforts, naturally within the framework of labor law, our own terms of employment, and other agreements.
Together with the HR team, we continue to work every day to professionalize and digitize HR and the organization.
You are an all-around HR consultant. You are flexible, but you also know how to strike a balance between immediate priorities and long-term goals. In addition, you have:
