HR Consultant

Job Description

As an HR Advisor at Teylers Museum, you will provide broad support in the area of HR. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies. You will contribute to the development of HR policies and further professionalize HR administration. Does this sound like the right fit for you? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

Work

You will be working for a casual organization, in the Human Resources department. Your main responsibilities will include:

• You will serve as the point of contact and go-to person for HR matters for the executive team, managers, and employees;
  
• You will develop and implement HR policies, such as leave approval and absence tracking;
  
• You will perform routine HR administrative tasks;
  
• You advise managers on absenteeism, performance, and labor law ;
  
• You identify relevant HR developments, collective bargaining agreements, and laws and regulations;
  
• You will be responsible for processing employment contracts, personnel files, and other HR matters; you will do this for both permanent employees and volunteers and independent contractors;
  
• For changes to payroll records, you will work closely with the financial administration team;
  
• You will assist with the recruitment and selection of new colleagues;
  
• You prepare management reports.
  

What do we offer?

A vibrant workplace in the heart of Haarlem. A position preferably for 32 hours per week, with appropriate terms of employment in accordance with the Museum Collective Bargaining Agreement. The position is classified in pay grade 9. The salary ranges from €3,346 to €4,348 gross per month based on a full-time (36-hour) workweek. You will initially receive a one-year employment contract.

Profile

We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently but also collaborates with the HR staff member. For this position, it is important that you have a service-oriented attitude and that you are detail-oriented. Naturally, you have strong interpersonal skills. And furthermore:

• You have a relevant associate's degree or equivalent work experience and intellectual ability.
  
• You have at least two years of HR experience.
  
• You're a team player.
  
• You have a hands-on approach and work independently.
  
• Your knowledge of relevant laws and regulations and employment law is up to date.
  
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  
• You are used to working with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint and Teams).
