What will you be doing?

At Arkin, we believe that workplace safety is an essential part of our success. That’s why we’re looking for a driven HR professional with a clear vision of workforce readiness—someone who can translate that vision into effective policies for absenteeism prevention, working conditions, psychosocial stress, and social and physical safety. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to broaden your expertise within the HR field by being part of the team that shapes Arkin’s HR policies. Interested? Read on!

We are currently working on a number of interesting projects, including:

  • A wellness plan with preventive measures for various target groups;
  • The implementation of a new approach to employability;
  • The expansion of the Peer Support Team;
  • The development of career paths and learning pathways.

For our new colleague, an HR specialist specializing in working conditions, the specific responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating RI&Es and overseeing the development of action plans, in consultation with managers and employee representatives;
  • Managing the incident reporting process;
  • You are a member of the safety committee, where you work with a quality officer and a safety advisor to continuously improve safety policies;
  • Preparing company-wide management reports, such as quarterly reports for the Board of Directors;
  • Identifying and analyzing trends and potential causes of absenteeism within the organization in conjunction with occupational health and safety incident reports, the results of the Employee Satisfaction Survey, reports on the Risk Inventory and Evaluation, and Vernet benchmark data;
  • Identifying external developments and changes in laws and regulations, translating these into the organization’s context, and facilitating internal discussion on them;
  • Maintaining external contacts, such as with the Arbo Sounding Board Group for Mental Health Care in the Netherlands, the Occupational Health and Safety Service, the Company Social Work Department, the Confidential Advisor, and reintegration agencies.

We offer you:

We offer you the opportunity to grow professionally. This takes place in a professional and, above all, pleasant work environment where we prioritize working together in a friendly and supportive manner.

Here are just a few of Arkin’s other attractive employment benefits:

  • Terms of employment in accordance with the GGZ Collective Bargaining Agreement, pay scale 60 (min. €3,541 and max. €5,335 gross based on a 36-hour workweek);
  • This is a position for 32 hours per week. A higher or lower number of hours is negotiable. This is a one-year contract, and if you enjoy the role, we definitely intend to offer you a permanent contract afterward;
  • An end-of-year bonus of 8.33%, 8% vacation pay, and you’ll build up a solid pension plan with the Healthcare & Welfare Pension Fund;
  • A work-from-home policy that includes reimbursement for setting up a workspace and reimbursement for days worked from home
  • For commuting and business travel, you will receive a second-class transit pass, which can also be used for OV-fiets, or a mileage allowance;
  • Discounts on insurance from Univé and Centraal Beheer;
  • A flexible benefits plan that allows you to use your gross salary for additional vacation time, a bicycle purchase, and supplemental travel expenses;
  • Arkin invests in employee development. We offer a wide range of training programs;
  • You'll get access to Nrgize: a platform offering all kinds of sports and recreational activities, such as boxing clinics, boot camps, windsurfing, and mindfulness.

What do you bring to the table?

We are looking for a decisive and results-oriented colleague. You work independently, but also seek to connect with various stakeholders and know how to build support.

We would also be delighted to receive your application if you:

  • Has a relevant degree at the associate’s or bachelor’s level;
  • Have a demonstrable affinity for healthcare and/or mental health care;
  • You are analytical, have a good understanding of organizational dynamics, and possess strong influencing skills;
