Youth Protection West is a certified organization that is constantly evolving. Every day, we are committed to contributing to our mission: keeping every child safe. Innovation, quality, and collaboration are priorities both internally and externally. We operate in the regions of Holland-Rijnland, Midden-Holland, Haaglanden, Zuid-Holland Zuid, and Zeeland. A lot is expected of our employees. As the HR department, we aim to be a knowledgeable and committed partner in addressing all these challenges.
As an HR advisor on our team, you are flexible, reliable, and skilled in standard HR advisory work. You also play an active role in shaping HR policy. You enjoy engaging in meaningful conversations with managers and your HR colleagues, as well as with colleagues from other departments and partner organizations.
You will advise managers on the implementation of HR policies. You will do this by drawing on your knowledge of developments in your own field, as well as in the field of youth care. You will also play an active role in the development of our team and our HR policies.
The HR department is undergoing significant changes. The departure of two colleagues is being used as an opportunity to review the structure and division of labor within the team. The team consists of 5 HR advisors (including a vacant position), 2 HR desk staff, and 2 internal coaches. The HR department is based in The Hague, where you will work with your colleagues at least one day a week. In addition, you’ll work at various locations and from home if that suits you and you’re comfortable with it. Our colleague who currently supports the Zeeland region is retiring. If the Zeeland region is a viable work location for you, that’s a plus.
For this position, we are seeking an experienced HR advisor who has at least a bachelor’s degree in a related field and possesses HR knowledge and experience in the areas of labor law, social security legislation, personnel policies, and collective bargaining agreements.
We are looking for someone with a good sense of organizational dynamics, who enjoys networking and is able to bridge the gap between the organization and HR.
We are working to build an inclusive organization. When candidates are equally qualified, we give preference to the candidate who will enhance the organization’s inclusivity.
The position is being advertised both internally and externally. We look forward to receiving your application by May 7, 2023, addressed to the HR Desk. An assessment conducted by an external firm may be part of this selection process. If you have any questions about the position, please contact HR Advisor Birgitta Polvliet (06-12313596) or Anita van Geest (06-31924173).
Date of internal/external placement: April 4, 2023
