HR Consultant

Eye is the only film museum in the Netherlands and a custodian, pioneer, and guide in the world of film and the art of the moving image. The museum manages an international collection of more than 55,000 films and produces leading exhibitions on film and the visual arts. Eye showcases film in all its diversity and, in collaboration with the film industry, promotes Dutch cinema both domestically and abroad. Through educational programs, Eye fosters an understanding of and appreciation for film, in partnership with educational institutions and the film industry. 

Eye Filmmuseum is currently seeking anHR Advisor (m/f/x)for 32–36 hours per week. 

HR Department

The HR department consists of three employees: an HR associate, an HR consultant, and the department head. Payroll is handled by the Finance Department.

Eye’s workforce consists (on average) of 185 employees and 10 interns. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for managers regarding day-to-day HR-related issues;
• Contribute to the further development of HR policy;
• Managing recruitment and selection processes, including drafting job postings, inviting candidates, and, if desired, participating in job interviews;
• Making proposals regarding employment terms and conditions and overseeing the onboarding process;
• Providing and monitoring absenteeism and return-to-work support for employees on long-term sick leave, and advising managers on reducing absenteeism and ensuring the long-term employability of staff;
• Promoting an inclusive work environment in which diversity is valued and respected;
• Taking on HR projects such as optimizing HR processes, improving the job classification system, and updating the Eye intranet with HR information.

Profile

• You have at least 3–5 years of relevant work experience as an HR Advisor, including proven experience in recruitment and selection, preferably within a cultural setting;
• You have a keen eye for inclusion and diversity;
• You are able to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, in both Dutch and English;
• You have excellent social and interpersonal skills, are approachable, enjoy working with others, and are also capable of working independently;
• You work in an organized manner, are able to manage multiple tasks at once, and have a proactive and problem-solving attitude;
• You bring a healthy dose of humor and enthusiasm to the table.
