The position
An interesting dual role with a wide range of responsibilities, with a focus on HR.
As an executive secretary, you will support and assist the director in the areas of correspondence, coordination, policy planning, grant programs, budget management, and overseeing the effective functioning of internal departments and staff. In this role, you will manage the executive secretariat—which consists of an executive secretary and an HR staff member—and serve on the Management Team. As an HR advisor, you are the point of contact and sparring partner at De Lawei in the broadest sense of the word: you coach, advise, and facilitate on a wide range of (and sometimes complex) HR issues. Both at the operational and tactical levels. You provide solicited and unsolicited advice on all relevant topics, such as strategic workforce planning and sustainable employability, diversity & inclusion, workplace safety, and changing laws and regulations. You implement collective bargaining agreements and other binding agreements regarding labor and employee benefits, and actively contribute to the development of the organization and its HR policies. In doing so, you are visible and approachable to employees and stay informed about what is happening within the teams. The focus in the coming period will be on recruiting, engaging, and retaining staff.
What do we expect from you?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and principled colleague with extensive experience in a broad HR advisory role. You navigate the organization with ease, have a flexible attitude, and enjoy working collaboratively. You are analytical, organizationally savvy, proactive, and decisive. You have strong communication skills; both verbally and in writing, you can quickly get to the heart of the matter. Your knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, labor law, and absenteeism issues is up to date. You are well-informed about trends and developments in the HR field and are able to make the right connections to ensure successful business operations.
