We are currently looking for a:
HR Consultant (0.8 FTE / 30 hours per week)
What will you be doing?
- You provide both solicited and unsolicited advice to managers on a wide range of HR topics and help them find practical solutions.
- You will provide information and support to employees and managers on matters such as:
- the implementation of HR tools and policies related to hiring, career development, and turnover;
- absenteeism management and support during sick leave;
- supporting the development and performance of employees;
- the proper application of labor law.
- You will help further streamline HR processes to provide optimal support to both employees and managers. You will actively contribute to further optimizing and making more efficient use of AFAS, so that HR processes run more smoothly and better align with the organization’s needs.
- You regularly meet with management to discuss HR-related matters and propose solutions that meet the needs of employees, teams, and the organization.
- You discuss employees’ training needs and development opportunities and help them plan their career growth within the organization.
- You will serve as a sounding board for your colleagues on the HR team and contribute ideas on improvements and opportunities.
- You will coordinate and provide guidance on health and well-being, including diversity and inclusion, while supporting managers in their leadership roles.
- In your HR consulting work, you recognize the responsibilities of managers, thereby empowering them in their roles.
- You will play an active role in projects that enhance the professionalism of HR and the organization as a whole.
- You will help ensure effective sick leave management and promote the long-term employability of employees.
- You will contribute to initiatives that enhance training and development opportunities within the organization.
What are you bringing?
- You have a relevant associate’s degree or equivalent level of knowledge and at least 3 years of experience as an HR advisor.
- You have a practical and results-oriented approach, and you also take the time to think ahead.
- You are proactive and decisive, and you are not afraid to stand up for your own point of view.
- You have proven experience in managing employee absenteeism.
- You have strong analytical skills, a good understanding of people, and insight into interpersonal dynamics.
- You have extensive HR experience, ranging from payroll administration to consulting. Experience with data analytics and knowledge of AFAS are a plus.
- You have a good command of the Dutch language.

Who do you work with?
You will be part of the HR team, which consists of an HR manager, a strategic HR advisor, two HR advisors, a corporate recruiter, an HR associate, and an integrity and safety coordinator.

- A one-year contract with the option to extend.
- A salary ranging from €3,560 to €5,476 for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience. At Milieudefensie, this is a 37.5-hour workweek.
