Hospitality Manager

What you will be doing

As a Food and Beverage Manager, your primary responsibility is to ensure that our guests have a great time. To this end, you will supervise the manager, the head chef of the music café, and the food and beverage assistant. You will mentor your team members and help them expand their knowledge. You will also evaluate your employees.

A key part of your job is organizing all of Poppodium Grenswerk’s catering and venue rental activities, including the music café. You will be responsible for these activities and will oversee the staff involved in their execution. You will also conduct sales meetings regarding venue rentals and prepare quotes. You will develop proposals related to promotion, sales, and business development.

In addition, you will ensure that the food service facilities and areas are properly maintained. You will maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate deals, and establish new partnerships. You will also be responsible for implementing and enforcing standards and regulations.

Your department has its own budget, and you have considerable freedom to allocate it. You handle your department’s administrative tasks and prepare financial reports. You also prepare forecasts, and if they start to deviate from the plan, you’ll spot it immediately and make adjustments. You closely monitor targets, budgets, margins, and personnel costs, and take corrective action as needed.

The Hospitality Manager is part of the management team. This means that the Director, Artistic Director, and Operations Director of Poppodium Grenswerk will be your direct colleagues. • At least a college-level level of thinking and work experience, acquired through education or experience.
  
• At least three years of relevant work experience

We offer you…

• Employment status: permanent, initially with a six-month contract.
  
• Pay grade and salary in accordance with Grade 8 of the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Music Venues and Festivals. The estimated salary for a 24-hour workweek ranges from a minimum of €2,012.75 to a maximum of €2,874.70.
  
• Enrollment in the PNO Media pension plan
  
• A phone (iPhone) and laptop (iMac) will be provided on loan for the duration of the employment contract.
  
• We are open to discussing the possibility of hiring you as a self-employed contractor.
