Every day, Cineville works to build the ultimate film club for everyone. To help us achieve these goals, we are looking for a Head of HR / People Operations.
As Cineville’s lead HR professional, you’ll contribute your expertise and ensure that our plans align with fostering a sense of well-being in the workplace.
Careers at Cineville
That means achieving great things with a small team of about 25 colleagues, including marketing professionals, editors, a director, a designer, customer service representatives, and developers. Right now, we’re working on expanding our film club’s membership, building a new website, and pushing our boundaries through new partnerships in Belgium and Austria, among other places.
Our office is located in the heart of Amsterdam; there’s always a pot of coffee brewing or a kettle whistling in the kitchen. There are plants everywhere, and sometimes the office dogs come to work with us. We eat lunch at a large table, and our favorite topic of conversation—besides what’s playing at the movies and our weekend plans—is what we want on our sandwiches. If you’d like to work from home part of the time, that’s no problem at all.
On Thursdays we grab a drink, on New Year’s Eve we go out for a nice meal, and once a year we all go on a weekend getaway together. Cineville Outing ’23 – maybe you’ll be there!
Your responsibilities
As Head of HR / People Operations at Cineville, you’ll be primarily responsible for all matters related to collaboration and workplace well-being. You’ll contribute substantive input to our future plans and offer concrete ideas on how to implement them; you’ll listen to your colleagues, keep a close eye on the big picture, and propose concrete solutions to help our organization function more effectively. In addition, you’ll support the team on a daily basis with practical matters:
You won’t be doing all this alone—you’ll be working alongside your colleagues. Cineville is an organization where everyone has a say and helps drive our film club forward. Producer Fey Yen will help you structure the evaluation sessions, Editor Maan is eager to organize a training session, and Director Thomas is happy to brainstorm with you about new steps we can take as an organization.
