We’re seeking a Student Affairs Functional Administrator to join the Central Student Administration department of the AHK Service Bureau, starting October 1.
What will you be doing?
Functional Management:You are responsible for managing systems such as Studielink and Educator (the student information system). You identify faulty processes, take proactive action, and monitor progress. You maintain contact with administrators at Studielink and DUO, as well as internally with the Information Technology and Automation (I&A) department and the users of these systems.
Data analysis and verification:You will perform checks to ensure that the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK) receives the correct government funding. You will verify that the data in the SIS and at DUO is accurate, provide correct student information to the management information system, and investigate and correct any errors.
Coordination with partners in the education chain:You will serve as the point of contact for various organizations. As a coordinator, you will represent the AHK at Studielink. You will participate in meetings with Studielink coordinators from other educational institutions and provide input on new developments related to our SIS. In addition, you are responsible for accurately completing and maintaining the Register of Institutions and Programs (RIO). You are also the contact person within the AHK who monitors notifications from DUO and performs checks. You identify areas for improvement or bottlenecks and proactively report them to the chain partners and your team leader.
You will serve as the point of contact for various agencies and represent the AHK in consultations with Studielink coordinators from other educational institutions. You will contribute ideas regarding new developments related to the student information system. In addition, you ensure that the Register of Institutions and Study Programs (RIO) is correctly completed and maintained. Within the AHK, you monitor reports from DUO, conduct checks, and identify areas for improvement or bottlenecks. You actively discuss these with chain partners and your team leader.
Other tasks include:
- You will provide support and advice on setting up our data systems, which are used to record student information.
- You will contribute to the implementation of student administration processes at the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK). In doing so, you will identify bottlenecks, propose improvements, and actively collaborate on solutions that benefit the organization as a whole.
- You will contribute to meetings regarding Educator: the core user meeting for internal stakeholders, and the OLO (Operational Supplier Meeting) with the supplier.
- Finally, you will assist the Central Student Administration team with all enrollment-related tasks during the busy summer period.

What are you bringing?
- You have a college-level education and way of thinking.
- Experience in functional administrative tasks and the management of administrative processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with Studielink and the higher education landscape is a plus.
- You have a good command of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- You have a good command of Dutch and English (spoken and written).

The Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK) consists of the Breitner Academy, the Academy of Architecture, the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, the Netherlands Film Academy, the Reinwardt Academy, and the Academy of Theatre and Dance.
About the departmentThe Central Student Administration (CSa) is part of the Central Administration and Procurement department and handles the annual enrollment and withdrawal of approximately 3,000 students and 1,000 course participants at the university. In addition, the CSa is responsible for student accounts receivable management, all matters related to residence permits for non-European students, and student ID cards.
The CSa consists of a team of five colleagues who work closely together and always strive to support one another. The position of Student Affairs Functional Administrator is an independent role within the existing CSa team.

We offer an inspiring work environment in the heart of Amsterdam. Initially, you will be offered a one-year contract with the possibility of a permanent position. The gross monthly salary ranges from a minimum of €3,609.94 to a maximum of €4,909.21, based on full-time employment.
