We are currently looking for a:
Experienced Private Sector Fundraiser (1 FTE – 37.5 hours per week)
What will you be doing?
You are responsible for the recruitment strategy for new members and donors through face-to-face interactions, direct mail, and telemarketing. You monitor, analyze, and optimize the channels you use for this purpose based on data and results.
- You will develop and implement plans to recruit new individual members and donors.
- You will coordinate in-person recruitment through external agencies: you will manage, train, and motivate.
- You will oversee and optimize direct mail and telemarketing campaigns.
- You monitor, analyze, and report on results, and make adjustments as needed.
- You actively contribute ideas on new ways to engage and involve people.
- You turn campaign ideas into fundraising initiatives.
- You will monitor the progress and process of all recruitment channels.
- You manage income and expenses related to your fundraising activities.
- You’ll stay up to date on trends and developments in private fundraising.

What are you bringing?
- You have a bachelor’s degree and at least 2 to 3 years of demonstrable work experience in a similar position.
- You think commercially and spot opportunities, without losing sight of the mission.
- You have experience with and knowledge of CRM systems.
- You have a strong understanding of finance and are detail-oriented.
- You are independent, proactive, and results-oriented.
- You have strong negotiation skills and confidently manage external partners.
- You have experience in overseeing in-person recruitment and telemarketing (required).
- You have experience with direct mail (preferred).
- You are socially conscious and feel a strong connection to Milieudefensie’s mission.
Who do you work with?
You’ll have a challenging role on a fun and enthusiastic team within a dedicated, professional, and idealistic organization. You’ll work closely with a team of six fundraisers, the data team, online and communications experts, member services, content specialists, and external agencies. You’ll report to the Fundraising Team Leader.

- A salary ranging from €3,560 to €4,600 for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience. At Milieudefensie, this is a 37.5-hour workweek.
