Are you looking for a role where you’re in the driver’s seat? Where you’re responsible for people and results, and make daily decisions that matter? As a Flex Coordinator at Arkin, you’ll play a key role within the Flex Pool. With your big-picture perspective, decisiveness, and people skills, you’ll ensure that our flexible employees can do their jobs as effectively as possible. This is a role for someone who takes ownership, enjoys making decisions, and thrives on dynamism, responsibility, and impact.

What will you be doing?

As a Flex Coordinator, you are responsible for one or more specialties within Arkin. You manage your own account and hold quarterly meetings with the managers of the specialties in your account. You operate at the intersection of operations and strategy: close to the front lines, yet always keeping the bigger picture in mind. You guide flex employees throughout their careers at Arkin—from onboarding to career advancement and, unfortunately, sometimes also through separation. You regularly conduct meaningful conversations about performance, development, employability, and absenteeism. You support flex employees during short- and long-term absences and know how to act within the framework of the Gatekeeper Improvement Act. You also conduct job interviews independently and are confident in making clear decisions when necessary. You are the primary point of contact for questions or issues. In this role, you fulfill a coaching and managerial role, with a high degree of autonomy and the freedom to determine your own approach.

Your responsibilities

You switch effortlessly between different roles and situations. You:

  • monitors the availability, quality, and continuity of the flex pool within your specialty or specialties;
  • provides support to temporary employees regarding performance, absenteeism, training, and development;
  • identifies bottlenecks and translates departments’ capacity needs into concrete actions;
  • participates in improvement projects and actively contributes ideas on how to make processes smarter and more efficient;
  • ensures proper administrative and financial processing of assignments and contracts;
  • You work closely with other flex coordinators and staff planners and serve as a reliable point of contact for managers in the healthcare sector;
  • manages sick leave cases, conducts sick leave and return-to-work interviews, and coordinates with HR and the company physician as needed;
  • conducts job interviews and is involved in the entire recruitment and selection process for new temporary staff;
  • also conducts difficult conversations, such as those regarding performance, employability, or when expectations need to be adjusted;
  • coaches temporary staff in their professional development and helps them take realistic next steps within Arkin.

We offer you:

  • Terms of employment in accordance with the GGZ Collective Bargaining Agreement, pay scale 55 (minimum €3,883 and maximum €5,140 gross based on a 36-hour workweek);
  • This is a position for 28 to 36 hours per week, with the intention of converting it to a permanent position if the candidate performs well;
  • An end-of-year bonus of 8.33% and 8.33% vacation pay;
  • You are building up a solid retirement pension with the Healthcare & Welfare Pension Fund.

You thrive on adapting, organizing, and building people’s long-term employability. You’re a good fit for this role if you:

  • have a bachelor's degree, for example in HR, recruitment, or (healthcare) planning;
  • have an affinity for the healthcare industry;
  • have experience with workforce planning, planning systems (such as OWS), and HR processes;
  • have experience in mentoring employees, both professionally and personally;
  • communicates effectively at various levels and is confident in conversations.
