The Platform for the Future of the Cultural and Creative Labor Market (Platform ACCT) was established in 2020 to improve the labor market in the cultural and creative sector and thereby contribute to a sustainable, thriving, and future-proof cultural and creative sector in the Netherlands.

This position is being opened due to an expansion of Platform ACCT’s activities and is initially focused on the “Oog voor impuls” program. More information about Platform ACCT and this program in particular can be found here: www.platformacct.nl. 


Job Opening: Financial Process Coordinator / 16 hours / Starting January 1, 2023, or sooner if available.


What will you be doing?

As a “financial process coordinator,” you will design and oversee the workflow and financial processes for various activities of Platform ACCT. You will do this in collaboration with the relevant program manager, communication partners, an administrative office, and with input from a wide range of stakeholders. As a process coordinator, you will perform the following tasks:

  • Process coordination and, in some cases, process design, focused on the workflow for financial contributions provided by Platform ACCT (from the receipt and processing of applications through to the approval of financial contributions by an administrative office).
  • Troubleshooting and process adjustments.
  • Monitoring, evaluation, and report preparation.
  • Coordination with partners.
  • Conducting compliance audits.


Who are we looking for?

For this position, we’d like to hear from candidates who:

  • Be meticulous in financial and administrative work processes and data management. 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Take the initiative and make your own decisions within the scope of your responsibilities. 
  • Place a strong emphasis on the practical feasibility of processes, with the goal of reducing administrative burdens.
  • Have a college or university degree.

Your starting point will be the realities of the cultural and creative sector, the goals of Platform ACCT, and the principles of sound financial management. You have knowledge and experience with financial processes. Experience in the sector and knowledge of the labor market are a plus. It is important that you have the right instincts and can quickly grasp and process new information. In addition, you are a team player and persuasive when dealing with implementing partners.

The position is for an average of 16 hours per week, with peaks around monthly reporting and further development of the program. This requires strong organizational skills and some flexibility. The work is not location-specific, but to maintain connection with the entire team, we ask that you work 1 to 2 days per week at the Platform ACCT office in central Amsterdam (Tuesdays and/or Thursdays).
