Are you ready to make an impact in the field of sustainability?
As Sustainability Coordinator at the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK), you’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in our sustainability transition. You’ll be the one who turns vision into action, builds support, and achieves concrete results. Together, we are working toward a regenerative, sustainable, and socially just future, with a focus on education, research, and operations.
The AHK Service Bureau is looking for a Sustainability Coordinator.
You are an enthusiastic and passionate professional with a keen eye for sustainability. You understand how important it is to get others on board with your vision and are able to guide change in a diverse and dynamic environment. Thanks to your analytical skills and creative perspective, you see opportunities for sustainable solutions, even in complex situations. You combine a proactive attitude with excellent communication skills and know how to inspire people. You feel at home in an international context.
With your experience in project management and sustainability, you know how to translate strategic goals into actionable steps. Whether it involves developing policy, leading projects, or raising awareness: you ensure that sustainability doesn’t remain just an ambition, but becomes part of our daily practice.
You will closely monitor progress, ensure clear reporting, and present the results to all stakeholders in an inspiring way. Together with the Communications Department, you will raise awareness about sustainability and encourage behavioral change. You will also be responsible for maintaining sustainable partnerships with external parties, such as environmental organizations, government agencies, and other universities of applied sciences.
In addition, you play an important role in education and research. You inspire faculty and students to integrate sustainability into their studies and work, and help further develop sustainable initiatives within the academic programs. In this way, you directly contribute to the AHK’s social impact.
